What is VelaShape®?
VelaShape® combines several technologies, including infrared light, bi-polar radio frequency energy, and vacuum techniques. Using a handheld machine, highly controlled heat is applied to fat cells and the surrounding connective tissues in the treatment area. The combination of heat and energy waves combined with vacuum suction stimulates the growth of new collagen and elastin. About the Procedure
Before beginning the procedure, a member of our team will apply a specially formulated lotion to the treatment areas. The machine will be moved in a circular motion on the skin, delivering heat and radio waves. Patients often describe the feeling as being similar to a warm, deep-tissue massage. When the procedure is complete, it is normal to experience pink skin and a warm feeling in the treatment areas for several hours. Patients can typically return to their normal routines immediately following the VelaShape® procedure, without any significant downtime or discomfort.
Candidacy and Results
The ideal VelaShape® candidate is at or near their target weight, with visible cellulite on the abdomen, thighs, buttocks, or other areas of the body.
